When you see 5-10 bears a day, it’s not about getting a bear, it’s about getting the right bear – trophy or color phase. Our trophy promise to you: if your first bear doesn’t have an 18” skull, your second bear is FREE – color phase bears excepted.

What's The Best Time To Hunt Moose?
It's the rut!

The rut is when moose are the most active and bulls can be called. The average cow moose is bred on the 29th of September. Take 10 days before and 10 days after that date and what you get is the perfect time window for hunting moose.

Rut Hunt Windows:

Pre-Rut Hunt Dates
Long days offer the best weather, fishing and grouse hunting

Hunting moose pre-rut gives you time to relax and enjoy the wilderness and experience more of it’s bounty. With ample time to fish or hunt grouse this experience is more laid back than the intense hunting you find during the rut.

Pre-Rut Hunt Window:

Each hunt is 8 days long, but your stay in camp will be a total of 10 days.
Post-Rut Hunt Dates
Get in before the gettin' is done

Hunting moose post-rut gives you one last shot at bagging the moose of your dreams. The weather is less agreeable here as winter begins to set in, but for the intrepid hunter this offers no deterrence. We cover meadows and clearings while the moose search for winter feed.

Post-Rut Hunt Window:

📅 Oct 13th - Oct 22nd

Each hunt is 8 days long, but your stay in camp will be a total of 10 days. Moose season ends on Nov 5th.
Spring Bear Hunt Dates
We're hungry as a bear to snag you the trophy of a lifetime

In May, bears are right out of their dens and as the idiom goes, they’re hungry as a bear! While they search for food, we spot and stalk them. We prefer to take archery hunters in May when we have more time to stalk meadows.

In June, bears begin rutting and the boars will be very active cruising for sows. This is your chance to hit the jackpot, and catch a breeding pair. Archery at this time can give you a rush if you’re chasing a big boar cruising for sows.

Bear Hunt Window:

📅 The 2nd Week Of May - The 3rd Week Of June

Each hunt is 6 days long, Monday to Saturday, with arrival and departure on Sundays.

All bear hunts are operated from Greer Creek Ranch. You’ll be staying in our luxury cabin and joining us for meals and hunt planning at Greer Creek Lodge.

When it comes to pelt quality, the colder the better!

With such a long season, our dates are flexible to your schedule. We will be hunting and trapping all winter ourselves, so for us it is simply a matter of having you join us.

The best time to hunt wolves and lynx is in the winter, that is, The Canadian Winter. It can get bitter cold, and you need to be prepared to endure these conditions.

Wolf & Lynx Hunt Dates:

📅 Open between Nov 1st and Feb 15th.

These hunts are operated from Greer Creek Ranch. You’ll be staying in our luxury cabin and joining us for meals and hunt planning at Greer Creek Lodge.

We will move to different wilderness cabins depending on the weather, animal movement and the placement of bait and traplines.
